Precision Air Conditioning for Data Centers

Precision air conditioners for computer rooms and in-row cooling.
Precision air conditioning manages the air-side cooling requirements of data centers, computer rooms and server rooms. Buyers also use names such as computer room air conditioner, server room air conditioner and close control air conditioning. Compare room-based and in-row equipment by IT heat load, airflow arrangement, installation space and model specifications. CRAC is an equipment term, not a guarantee that all configurations use the same cooling architecture.

Compare room-based and in-row precision cooling units
Open the actual product specifications before selecting equipment. Deployment format and refrigeration configuration both matter.
CTACJ-CMA precision air conditioners
Explore the CTACJ-CMA range for computer-room air conditioning. Compare the documented model configurations with your room layout, heat load, electrical supply and maintenance requirements.
CTACJ-HEX precision air conditioners
Review the CTACJ-HEX range for computer-room and server-room applications. Confirm model capacity, supply and return airflow, installation dimensions and control requirements in the product documentation.

CTACJ-CRA row-level air conditioners
Explore an in-row air conditioner installed near server racks. Match the row layout, heat load, airflow path and service clearances to the selected model. In-row air cooling is different from a row-level CDU.

Select data center air conditioning around the project
A precision cooling unit should be compared against the IT load and the complete air-side arrangement, not just its nominal capacity.
Define room and rack cooling demand
Provide equipment heat dissipation, rack layout, expected operating load and temperature targets. State sensible-cooling requirements and any humidity-control needs for a model-specific review.
Discuss computer-room requirements β
Compare room-based and in-row cooling
Record supply and return air paths, containment, installation position and maintenance access. In-row cooling can be evaluated around the rack row; room-based equipment must be checked against the room air distribution.
Separate air-side and liquid-loop equipment
State the available cold source, electrical supply and monitoring requirements. For a liquid-cooled IT architecture, review the CDU interfaces separately instead of treating a CDU as a precision air conditioner.

Precision air conditioner FAQs
What is a computer room air conditioner or CRAC unit?
CRAC stands for computer room air conditioner. In equipment comparisons it commonly refers to a direct-expansion refrigeration configuration. Check the actual model architecture, rated cooling conditions and interfaces rather than treating the abbreviation as a complete specification.
Are precision air conditioning and close control air conditioning the same?
The names are often used for equipment intended to manage an IT roomβs environmental conditions. The required temperature, humidity and control functions must be matched to the specific model; the name does not establish a universal control accuracy or feature set.
How do room-based and in-row cooling differ?
Room-based units are assessed with the roomβs air distribution and cooling load. An in-row cooling unit is assessed with the rack-row arrangement and its supply and return air paths. Compare layout, heat load, clearances and maintenance requirements before choosing.
Is a CRAH unit the same as a CRAC unit?
The terms should not be treated as interchangeable specifications. CRAH usually describes an air handler supplied by a chilled-water system, while CRAC commonly describes direct-expansion equipment. Confirm the cold source and actual configuration for your project; this category does not imply that every listed product is a CRAH.
What should a server room air conditioner enquiry include?
Send IT heat load, room and rack layout, supply and return airflow requirements, ambient conditions, temperature and humidity targets, available power and installation space. Include control and redundancy requirements for technical review.
Request precision air conditioner selection
Share your data center or server room layout, IT heat load and operating requirements.
